“The Masterclasses” are for all ages, and all skill levels!

Incorporating and expanding on the techniques introduced in a series of successful classes in 2007.

Character design, just what makes Dredd different from Wolverine And how can your character have that ‘certain’ quality…

Learn about environments; background design and how to create not just a character but the world they exist in…
And develop the necessary skills to tell a visual story from script to thumbnails to finished art…

Our in-house classroom is also a working Studio with resident artists.

1) The Masterclass - Daily Sessions: 30-40 minute Masterclasses. An introduction to the basics. For those people who think they can’t draw, we’ll show you how you can!
1pm – 1:30pm and 3pm – 3:30pm
For all ages
£5 per person

2) The Masterclass – Saturday Morning
For the young artist that loves to draw, and the older professional that wants to broaden horizons, and see things with new eyes!
Learn what’s needed to draw the characters you want – a look at some industry secrets and techniques.
We will measure the artist’s ability and see where we need to do that little bit of extra work that will make all the difference. Some themed Masterclasses throughout the year including:
Beatrix Potter 2000AD
Nickelodeon
Monster Masterclasses
Anime 11am – 1pm £20 per person

3) The Masterclass – 10 part course
For the artist that really wants to expand their ability, a 10 week course that explores the basics, and hones individual skills. Tasks and Projects will give a good foundation to the artist that wants to be a part of the industry, and an insight to what you need to be successful.

Every Tuesday, starts 7th May 2007 7pm – 9:30pm £300 per person Only 20 places available!
Certificates of Completion are awarded in each class so progress can be monitored with each visit.

The Artist
HUW-J- has been drawing since he could pick up a pencil. A Master of a multitude of drawing styles he has been hired by nearly all of the Major Studios including Warner Bros, Disney, Marvel and more. His creations have been developed into comics and toys sold around the globe. He has worked in practically all stages of industry including character development, storyboarding, effects, licensing and production. His skill, knowledge, and industry experience give him the necessary practical qualifications (and temperament!) to instruct all ages, at all levels. He’ll encourage youngsters to draw the characters they love, and he’ll ensure seasoned professionals can look at their work with a different perspective.
